Become A Volunteer

Native ARC is always looking for volunteers. Our next Volunteer Information Session is in June 2013! Please email us on the address below closer to this time if you are interested in volunteering.

As we are open 7 days a week, we need as many people possible to help out with the endless tasks that take place at the centre. We train all volunteers on site and you do not need to have previous experience working with animals. However in order to volunteer you must be over 16 years of age and is recomended you have a current tetanus vaccination.

Volunteering:

If you are serious about joining the team at Native ARC and becoming a volunteer, you can begin the application process. To apply, simply email the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteering@nativearc.org.au and provide us with:

  • Your name

  • Age

  • Interests

  • Current study/work

  • Previous experience in animal care

  • Days/Times available for volunteering

  • Any health conditions we need to know about

You will receive a confirmation email within 3-5 working days.


Work Experience:

Native ARC also offers work traineeship/placement/experience for years 9, 10, 11 & 12 students and university students studying veterinary medicine. If you would like to secure a placement for 2013 email the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteering@nativearc.org.au and provide us with:

  • Year level (Secondary) or Course title & year of study (University)

  • Age

  • Duration of placment

  • Days/Times available for volunteering

  • Any health conditions we need to know about

You will receive a confirmation email within 3-5 working days.
